A neutral-coloured and transparent UVA-protective film for windows that blocks high-energy UV radiation up to a wavelength of 410 nm. The self-adhesive film therefore also offers moderate protection against the visible spectrum of light, which is beneficial for, for example, delicate wooden surfaces, dyed textiles, dyes, e-paper displays and much more.
Light-sensitive materials yellow or fade over time. The UVA-protective film semaDK® 410N helps to prevent rapid fading or yellowing. Thanks to an adhesive layer on the reverse side, which is covered by a liner, this neutral-coloured film can be quickly and easily fitted to the inside of any window.
The films are applied using a wet-bonding method and can be used on single-glazed units, insulating glass units, thermal insulation glass and plastic glazing. When fitted, the glass appears colour-neutral. The film protects sensitive surfaces from rapid ageing caused by short-wave solar radiation. Shop windows can easily be retrofitted with 410 nm UVA protection. Textiles, pictures and drawings retain their colour for longer.
The UVA protective film semaDK® 410N is best applied to the inside of the glass pane. Rooms remain bright with the film in place, even during the winter months when the days are shorter and the sun’s intensity has diminished significantly. The UVA protective film can be removed without leaving any residue, even after several years.
